<p><strong>PPC in its most effective modes</strong></p>
<p>In this article we look at some of the things that make the PPC campaigns very effective. This is something of an old chestnut because in many ways there has been a saturation of the market for information about PPC. Nevertheless these are some of the factors that go into the selection of PPC keywords or phrases. You also need to watch out for the incidental issues that can turn out to be crucial in the campaign when you analyze them in depth. Normally people fail the PPC test because they have not looked at the detail:</p>
<ol>
<li>Look at the      metric of traffic. These are the number of people that are estimated to      have searched for and clicked on that key word. When you are doing PPC      that is a headline figure that starts you off with the campaign. This data      can be collected on a global basis or on a niche basis. You could find      that the PPC figures for this information are skewed in very many      different directions regardless of the efforts that you may have to maintain      consistency in the reporting methods. The traffic will indicate that that      key word is one which the clients are likely to pursue if given the      chance.</li>
<li>Consider the      metric of conversion. It is not enough in PPC that the client searches for      the key word. The money trail kicks in the moment that they check out the      URL and click on it. There are many people that just do experimental      searches without intending to buy. These are responsible for changing the      figures and you should not include them in the calculation. Your interests      should be limited to the people that are genuinely interested in the      purchase. They make a positive vote for the website by actually clicking      through to the product. The PPC information should be able to filter out      these types of surfers.</li>
<li>Check out the      competition for the key work. Sometimes you might have a very good PPC key      word and then discover that almost everyone else is fighting for that same      key word. The best thing to do in such a situation is to withdraw and find      an alternative. This is a project that requires the investment of money.      If you are not capable of fighting with the big boys then you should not      enter their PPC territory. They will squeeze you out using their vast      resources and experiences. It is a shame that people that should know      about PPC ignore this fact.</li>
<li>Make sure that      the pricing structure for that word is conducive. You pay each time that      the client clicks on the word so you have to ensure that you are not      paying for dead end. The worst scenario is where you pay for the PPC word      but then the conversion is not coming through. This means that you will be      giving away money without any realistic prospect of ever getting it back      by way of increased profits. That is a situation that is not ideal and you      should be working to correct it as soon as possible. You also have to be      wary about the different provisions within the market that may not be      necessarily within your best interests. For example you have to watch out      for the pricing models that do not give you indications on performance      management.</li>
<li>Review the      different alternatives to the key word. You can use that old PPC trick of      going for the alternative key words that have less competition for them.      This would be a gateway through which you could ensure that the products      within the range are well catered for. It is also a very good measure of      how you deal with the outcomes of the system. You will get the traffic but      you will also avoid the high competition that might be associated with      that type of traffic.</li>
<li>Look out for      the display of the keyword and any related advertisements. This is      something that is not essential but it is good practice to see where your      ads are working through. For example you need to go on the PPC search      engine and type in the key word. You will then see all the associated      advertisements including your own. That will give you a feel of how your      efforts are being perceived by the public. If there is any aspect that you      are not happy about then you need to raise the issues with the program      manager.</li>
<li>Never      participate in any form of click fraud. This is a very clear breach of the      rules and you will be thrown out of the program. You are not supposed to      click on your own ads or on other ads in an effort to change the figures      from the reality. This can be damaging to the other party because they      will pay for your poor ethics. If the program managers identify you as the      source of the click fraud then will almost certainly kick you out of the      program for good.</li>
<li>Make sure that      you read the management information that is sent to you. This is      information about the way that your PPC campaign is going and the relative      values of the key words that you have selected. You should review the      information on a regular basis as it will form the backbone of your      decision making. It will also assist you when it comes to discarding the      programs that do not seem to work. You should rely on the different      elements to ensure that the information is accurate.</li>
<li>Rotate the PPC      key words on a regular basis. As the PPC campaign grows in stature you      will find that some of the key words lose their luster. You should change      them round on a regular basis to ensure that they are always within the      reach of the different elements that make the market work. You can say      that on a cyclical basis you will look to review the words every month and      implement the changes that are necessary.</li>
<li>Do not include      generic connective words in your campaign. These are words that are never      part of the campaign and they just end up costing you money on the PPC budget      when you could spend that money wisely. It is within the rules of the      program that you can automatically remove these connective words from the      campaign. The key thing is to assume the position of the customer and try      to make the order in the way that you would expect them to search the      internet.</li>
<li>Try to include      a few phrases with multiple key words. These can create a niche within the      PPC market which gives you the freedom to move away from the highly      competitive fields. In fact you will find that there is a segment of the      traffic that goes for these multiple key words. If you can effectively      corner them into your box, then your sales figures might improve.</li>
<li>Separate the      high performing words and give them special attention. These words should      get all your attention because they are the ones that are selling the      product. You will be greatly assisted if you are able to isolate these      words and campaign on them. The results can be spectacular indeed. You      will be able to manage the different outcomes with a view to improving the      way in which they are run. That is a great message that you can always      look forward to. The PPC campaign will take off and you will be in the      money.</li>
<li>Make sure that      the PPC campaign is supported by other SEO activities. This is all part of      your marketing strategy. You should not allow the PPC elements to be      isolated from the rest of the overall strategy that you have. It is all      about sustaining the relationships that make your SEO campaign effective.      In some instances this might mean that you get rid of certain traits      within the campaigns or bring in new ideas. The PPC is but one of the      different tools that you will be using. It should never be left alone in      isolation otherwise your entire campaign will lose its focus.</li>
<li>Try to secure      the services of a very good administrator for the PPC process. They are      responsible for ensuring that you remain within the budget. Some people do      not realize that the PPC budget is one of the hardest parts of the program      to control. You have to be very reactive to any changes in the selling      climate. You have the standard budget that must be protected but you also      have the flexibility to increase or decrease it depending on how the game      is being played out in the open. The end result is a process that is both      rewarding and effective in its execution. That will be the foundation on      which you build the PPC campaigns that you hold in the future.      Increasingly the sales will make it worth your while.</li>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>This is a very simple exercise, it is stuff that you have been doing all along, the only difference  is that you will take it a notch higher in  your personal fitness. </p>
<p>The objective here, is to give you certain ideas that will spark off imaginative thoughts , that will culminate in you setting up your own system of staying motivated, and on track with your training. You might be one of those people who want to approach health and fitness as a natural way of doing things, not a job or a difficult  process that leaves you frustrated.</p>
<p>First things first, you need to start off with keeping a simple notebook that has the date and time for each workout/or activity carried out. You will name the exercise, movement, its length, amount of resistance used, distance covered, speed, number of repetitions and etc.</p>
<p> I got into this habit after graduating from high school, and I happened to have met a former football player from Virginia Military Institute. I admired his note taking habit, and upon investigation I learnt that he was an NFL draft pick. From there on, I was fully convinced about the importance of writing things down.</p>
<p>Now, the secret is keeping it simple, you see some of us think that you must have the exact name of a particular exercise or movement, no! that&#8217;s not necessary, bottom line is; whatever you have on paper has to be something that you understand. Later on, you could research on the right name and terms(keep it moving, all the time!).Its a growth process, you will grow with the log.</p>
<p>Get into what I call a &#8220;deally&#8221;.This could be as simple  as saying that you will perform 20 push-ups  every time  you get into your house!This is powerful, I don&#8217;t do this, my own &#8220;deally&#8221; is warming up and performing core exercises with my clients.</p>
<p>On top of this, I also perform flexibility drills with them.<br />
You can definitely imagine the effects!-my core strength has greatly improved, and just the other day, one of my clients complimented me on my great flexibility. Now, can you replicate the same success?.The answer is:you can achieve more or less, it entirely depends on how at ease you are with your own &#8220;deally&#8221;.<br />
Make a deal that&#8217;s not cumbersome to  you,&#8230;and then apply some progression into it&#8230;maybe adding 3-5 reps  every week, or even increasing your distance/speed.</p>
<p>Registering for an event  is the third technique. Now this is such a fun way of doing things, because your eyes are set on a future event. </p>
<p>Peppering yourself with fun events also makes staying in shape enjoyable  and refreshing. You may consider registering for mini-triathlons, beach volleyball tournaments, ski trips, basketball games, you name it..the list is endless. Just remember to have a healthy attitude, its all about participating and expressing your ability and life,-and, not being number one.</p>
<p>You could also reward yourself by getting new workout clothes, visiting a spa or historical landmark, doing something special and unique also counts. A word of caution; avoid overindulgence.<br />
 Even taking some time off from training is wonderful!,that sense of fulfillment is whats really important.</p>

I wanted to take a moment and share the following tips with all you guys on how to increase traffic flow to your blogs and or sies. Its very important that you read the steps below and apply them accordingly.</p>
<p>
<p>1) Consistency with your post -Blog frequently</p>
<p>I dont know why so many bloggers hate the idea of the above when its vital to keep the content ongoing. Trust me when I say that the struggle for content is ongoing. New bloggers, however, feel like it&#8217;s just happening to them. The truth is, don&#8217;t get a blog just to have a blog. Get it and keep it updated. It&#8217;s the quickest way to gaining traffic. How often should you blog? Three times a week. The best days to blog? Studies have shown that Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday are key days for blogging. </p>
<p>2) Focus and Stay on Track</p>
<p>
<p>I tell authors this a lot: stay on point, stay on topic. Why? Because if you don&#8217;t you&#8217;ll lose readership. Once someone commits to your blog they want to keep reading relevant information. So don&#8217;t blog one day about your book, your speaking, or your mission and the next day share Aunt Ethel&#8217;s pot roast recipe. </p>
<p>3) Plan your blogs </p>
<p>While spontaneity is the catalyst for creativity, planning is a good way to stay on track. Start to map out key dates that you want to blog about that have some relation to your topic &#8211; this way when you&#8217;re at a loss for topics, you can always pick one from your list of planned out blogs. Also, consider these topics to blog about: </p>
<p>a) Future predictions: everyone loves these, to the degree that you can predict market trends in your industry do it, and the readership will follow.</p>
<p>b) Discuss industry news: what&#8217;s happening in your industry that you can talk about? Even if you&#8217;re a fiction writer there&#8217;s always *something* going on worth mentioning in publishing, writing, or marketing that directly relates to your topic.</p>
<p>c) The elephant in the room: talk about the stuff that everyone is afraid of. What new trends are emerging that consumers/readers/companies need to be aware of? What&#8217;s next for your market and how will it affect the industry? How can we keep publishing books when we already publish 800 a day? You see what I mean? Think of things that frighten you and talk about them. People will respond. Every time I do this I get a ton of comments on my blog.</p>
<p>d) Write reviews: review other people&#8217;s books, product or work. This is a great way to network and to become a &#8220;filter&#8221; for your market. Filter out the new stuff and feature it on your blog (this goes for you fiction writers too!). </p>
<p>e) Other blogs: what are people talking about? What did your favorite blog just say? Virtual networking (with other bloggers) is a great way to grow your content and get to know others in cyberspace. Don&#8217;t forget to link to the blog you&#8217;re discussing! </p>
<p>4) <a rel="nofollow" onclick="javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('/outgoing/article_exit_link');" href="http://www.frusketing.com/blog" target="_blank">Invite comments on your blog! </a></p>
<p>This is really important! The more folks you can get commenting, the quicker your blog will get passed around. If you have a &#8220;no comment&#8221; feature on your blog, remove it! You want people to be able to comment and give feedback. In fact, at the end of every blog, why not invite readers to comment? If you start getting a lot of responses to this, begin featuring your favorite comments in future blog posts! </p>
<p>5) Comment on hot topics in the news</p>
<p>The quickest way to get traffic is to get your blog featured on a high-traffic site. But how can you do this? By commenting on news stories. Most major news sites have a feature that will list blogs that are talking about the various news stories. Not all blogs get featured but: a) if your if your topic is related to the story they&#8217;ve featured; and b) you&#8217;ve written an insightful post on the topic, you&#8217;ll likely get listed. For an example of what these look like take a peek at a recent story on CNN: http://www.cnn.com/2007/US/law/09/14/simpson/index.html </p>
<p>6) Digg yourself </p>
<p>Make sure that your blog has a bookmarking feature. Sites like Digg and http://Del.icio.us are great places to get started. You can go there, sign up for an account (very easy to do) and then follow their instructions for bookmarking your individual posts. This is important! You don&#8217;t want to bookmark the blog but rather, the posts. The posts will then show up in these sites and, hopefully, other folks will bookmark them as well. Even if no one else bookmarks your posts, it doesn&#8217;t matter. You can still get traffic by being positioned on these sites. Super simple to do, go ahead, give it a shot! </p>
<p>7) Twitter your blog </p>
<p>Got something to say? Try microblogging at Twitter: http://www.twitter.com. It&#8217;s a free service that asks the question: What are you doing now? Go in, sign up and start posting your messages with links back to your blog. We tried this and it&#8217;s fantastic. You can also blog from your cell phone and blackberry. You can not only use it to promote your blog but your book, speaking event, whatever you want. It might sound like a &#8220;who cares&#8221; idea, but trust me, everyone&#8217;s Twittering these days. </p>
<p> <img src='http://www.eliteblogger.net/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_cool.gif' alt='8)' class='wp-smiley' /> Syndicate yourself</p>
<p>Using simple RSS feeds through http://www.feedblitz.com you can syndicate yourself and let folks subscribe to your blog. If they don&#8217;t have a way to subscribe to your blog, they may forget you altogether. Once someone subscribes, every time you post new content it will notify them. And the best part? Your messages won&#8217;t get stuck in someone&#8217;s spam filter. They&#8217;ll get the notification, head to your blog and voila! Your readership stays engaged and growing. </p>
<p>Finally, don&#8217;t use an &#8220;official&#8221; voice on your blog. Pretend you&#8217;re sitting across from your reader over coffee. Talk to them in a more casual, conversational tone and you&#8217;ll not only get more readers, you&#8217;ll likely get more comments too! It doesn&#8217;t take much to grow a blog, just a little dedication and creativity. Happy blogging!</p>

This &#8216;ritual&#8217; however sets the tempo of the site and is in fact what attracts or repels the blog reader. So what is it about our blog posting habits that attracts visitors and what can we do to maintain their interests?</p>
<p>Although there are many aspects involved in operating a successful blog platform here are the 3 most important components that need to be maintained. We will refer to them as the 3 C&#8217;s of blogging.<br /><strong><br />Content</strong></p>
<p>The very backbone of the blog building process is the content you produce. It is this content that attracts visitors and keeps the blog reader coming back. You want to gain the reputation of posting good quality information so that people will look forward to returning to your blog. <br /><strong><br />Consistency</strong></p>
<p>Your blog posting habits should be consistent so that people will know what to expect from you. Whether you post multiple times daily or weekly is up to you and the time you can make available for any blog posting. Whatever time intervals you adopt for posting try to consistently maintain it.
