I got accepted to the Google Ad Manager Beta, and I setup my account. I’m going to do a little review, not in-depth, but there are some things that I really really like.
When you log into Google Ad Manager, you get greeted by a screen that shows you your orders. It’s a nice dashboard screen, because you can immediately see how many ad spots you’ve sold and how much revenue you’ve generated. In the setup of Google Ad Manager you’re asked for your location and your currency.
The integration with Adsense is legendary. It allows you to customize your Adsense ads, so that you can still fit in with your site, and it also allows you to import your existing Adsense channels. So if you have spare inventory, it’s automatically filled with Adsense ads from your Adsense account.
This is all very great, but I am a very simple publisher, and my requirements are not that big. What I cannot seem to work out, and it either doesn’t exist or I’m just very stupid, if how I can add a link to my blog, where people can go and buy the ad placements I create in Google Ad Manager.
I suppose that being in beta things like that are not quite there yet. So I’ll have to hang tight to see what happens in the future. Google Ad Manager looks very very promising, if they can add a few features to make it functional I think we’ll have a winner.

I’ve applied to the beta program, but haven’t gotten in yet. I’d be interested in seeing a more in-depth review if you have any plans of doing one at any point.
