Every morning I stop off for a Latte and a caramel muffin. But I’ve come to realise something interesting about the Latte. It’s always different. No seriously, every morning there is something different about my Latte.
On Monday it was too strong, on Tuesday it was to cold, Wednesday it was too weak and too cold, and on Thursday it left scars down my throat and I proceeded to sip the lava that came out of my cup. And on Friday I’m gonna give the Latte a miss in fear of what I might get.
This, despite being made by the same person each morning. And it got me thinking about how much Blogging is like making coffee. Firstly, can we actually get it right? And if we can, can we get it right consistently?
I then began thinking about some examples. I’ve seen blogs that some days produce staggeringly brilliant content, and then on other days it’s as if a 5 year old wrote a post. Often makes you wonder if the good stuff wasn’t actually written by someone else.
If you can produce good content once, then you can do it again. You build a following buy producing good content, much like the government produced lots of votes by promising housing and jobs. But you loose your following by producing rubbish content. Much like the government when they fail to deliver on those houses and jobs.
But this poses the question of what good content is? How you produce is? How you do it consistently? The easy answer is that you need a system. But the hard part is getting that system. I’m busy fine tuning some of the systems I’ve used over the years, and hopefully I’ll have something for you to follow in the next couple of weeks. So make sure you’re subscribed to the RSS feed, caue you really don’t want to miss anything.

You’re right, blogging is like coffee, in more ways than one!
It’s a social activity, it’s a addictive, and can keep you awake at night!
And there’s nothing worse than a poor brew…
Have a great day!

Also, Some people can make coffee, and others, No matter how hard they try, just can’t make a good cup.
So here’s to a good cup.

Hey, I resemble that statement. I’m thinkin most people don’t blog to make great content everytime…unless you are writing a blog for business purposes. Most blogs are personal and the content random. I like to blog but I don’t sit down and think how can I make this post great today. I just sit down and write what is on my mind at the moment. Is the content great…probably not. I blog for me..not for everyone else.
