I’ve been been blogging for a few years now, but I’ve never taken it seriously enough to try and make a substantial income from it.

Until recently. I decided a while ago, that I want to make blogging and other Internet activities part of my daily grind, and make it contribute to my income. I’ve learnt a lot over the years, and one thing I’ve discovered is that the minute I begin telling someone about making money online I end up in an hour long coaching session. That’s when I decided to get this blog off the ground.

It’s one of those things that I have been threatening to do for a very very long time, and tonight I’ve finally gotten round to doing it. I’ve built a blog about blogging and making money.

I know that there are hundereds of these types of blogs out there, and that the first question going through your mind is “another blog about a blog about blogging”. But I’m going to do things a little differently here.

My focus on Eliteblogger will be to develop a step by step system that will take someone from knowing absolutley nothing about blogging and the Internet, to making decent money online within a year.

Many people have tried this (making money online within a year) and they have failed. What makes this different? Well, I’ve made all the mistakes and I want to take everyone on a journey that has a day by day sequence of things that you can follow.

Many of the things that I will be talking about you might already be doing, but it’s still worth following my system.

So here is the goal of this blog: I want to take someone who has never heard about blogging, teach them what they need to know and in one year have them at a point where their blog is actually making them some money. 

Of course, the amount of money will vary, but the principal is the same. This time next year, you will be making enough money off your blog to be able to supplement a significant portion of your income.

Why am I doing this? Two reasons:

1. Enough people ask me on a daily basis what I’m doing online to make money, and this is a nice place to send them, so I don’t have to repeat the same things over and over.

2. I will be running a One 2 One program where I will be coaching people on a one to one basis to help them get their blog to the proverbial “next level”.

So the first thing I would do if I were you is grab the RSS feed here and make sure you don’t miss anything.

I’ll be putting together a step by step system that will take you 365 days to complete. It will be done is post form, but there will also be a static page setup with links to each day. So if you missed a day you can always double back and get it from the static page.

The first post will go live on April 1st (I know it’s Aprils fools, but I don’t care). And then there will be a post a day for 365 days after that.

In between I will be posting other random stuff, useful and some not so useful stuff, but at the very least you’ll get a post a day taking you closer to your goal of making serious money online.

If there is something you don’t understand, or if there are questions that you have, please post them in the comments. I’ll do my best to answer everyones questions, and I want you to feel like you have a place to go when you are unsure of something. You can email me your questions, but I can’t guarentee that I’ll answer them via email. I might reply to them in another post. That way I get to kill two bird with one stone.

Lastly, if you’re new to the world of blogging, you need to enjoy it. Blogging is a great lot of fun and I promise you you’ll enjoy it. You’ll become a part of the Internet, and you’ll experience what it’s like to have a following, and to spend your life helping others, while being able to make a living at the same time.
